MEETING NOTES - FEBRUARY 26, 2020

Choir Room ~ Westminster Presbyterian Church

 

MEETING ~ Howard Sundwall, president, called the meeting to order. 

 

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS ~ There was 1 guest at tonight’s meeting.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS ~

          Anita Bower announced the May Forum ~ Everybody Edits.  The theme is “Doors”.  Members who submit an image for this Forum should be prepared to tell everyone why they chose their “door”.  What makes it meaningful to you in some way—beauty, personal connection, weirdness, familiarity, etc.  There will be a special gallery page set up for members to submit their images.  Please direct any questions you may have to Anita.

 

          Betsy Wilson announced a photography conference in Harrisburg on Saturday, April 4.  It is a 1 day event with excellent speakers as well as amazing door prizes.  Breakfast & lunch are included.  Please email Betsy if you are interested in carpooling or would like a brochure.

 

            Ginia Apostolacus reminded club members that Harold Ross will be presenting his Sculpting with Light workshop at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Downingtown, PA on 2/29/20 from 11 am - 5 pm.  Ginia suggested members should bring their own lunch as there will not be adequate time to go out to eat; participants should also bring a notepad; videos of the demo is not permitted. Cost is $40 per person.  If you haven’t paid for the workshop yet, please bring your check to the event.  (Be sure to mark your Check “Harold Ross Demonstration”)

 

COMPETITION NIGHT ~

Bob Kelly introduced tonight’s judge, Kathy Buckalew.  Tonight’s theme was “The Sky’s the Limit”.
