Workshop: "I Don't See Color" A Black and White Photography Workshop

The event will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Henry David Thoreau, the American naturalist said,

“The question is not what you look at but what you see.”

We see colors, shapes, tonal values and texture everyday. They can affect us differently even if we are looking at the same thing. This is an interactive collaborative workshop that will challenge how you see the world. We will meet at the old West Chester Courthouse at 9:30am. Attendees can photograph any subject with B&W in mind. At 10:30, we will gather at the West Chester Library and share  photos. As a group we will discuss the photographer's vision and explore what we see in the image

Each photographer will share with the class:

What inspired them to take this photo?

Why did they select this image to share?

How does this image make you feel?

The workshop will be conducted by our own Workshop Committee member Wayne Dixon. It will begin at 9:30am and will end at 12:00 noon. The workshop is for club members only and is free of charge. There is street parking available near the library, or you can park in the garage across from the Justice Center on Market St.
