Hopewell Furnace Outing

The event was held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Since the night sky shoot on Saturday the 22nd has been postponed until spring, we can’t let a nice Saturday go to waste.  So we are adding a quick outing onto the schedule for that same day. Hopewell Furnace Nat’l Historic Site has been a destination for the club a number of times in the past, and we always manage to find new images each time we go. The plan is to meet at the visitor’s center when the gate opens  at 9:00am, and from there we can explore the historic village. Bring a tripod if you want to shoot inside a number of the buildings like the ironmaster’s mansion, the blacksmith shop, the spring house, the furnace and others. There is no fee to enter. Hopewell is located at 2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson. It’s right off route 345. Just drive through the gate and up the road to the Visitor’s Center. We hope to see you there on Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00am. Rain date is Sunday, Nov 23 at 9am.
