It's about 90 minutes from Exton. SW of Lancaster along the Susquehanna River. April is usually a good month with carpets of flowers all along the trails. The website includes a checklist of what normally blooms when. Different flowers bloom at different times through the spring and into the summer. The displays of trillium and bluebells can be particularly impressive in April.

It is about 1 hour NW of the Exton area. West of Reading and north of Lancaster. At
this time of year, the place hosts an amazing number of tundra swans and snow geese. As with any wildlife photography. You can't always be sure exactly when and where the wildlife will be, but I have been there 3 times over the years, and have never been let down.

There is a nice visitor's center there and hiking trails; but, if you prefer, you can do most of your shooting without venturing far from your car.

The longer the lens the better, but you can get nice shots without those 500mm bazookas.
